How The Academy of Language and Arts Began:
In September of 2008, Leigh-Ellen Yarbrough started to teach Spanish privately at the Tahoe Tot Spot, a local indoor gym. From there, interest grew and she needed more space. Our local Parks and Recreation Department offers just that. Leigh is now able to add native Spanish speakers to her language program along with other professionals (in other subjects) to widen her tutoring department. In the future, she hopes to hold classes for older children. In the future, she hopes to combine language and arts to enrich every child's life in South Lake Tahoe.
